Blair Waldorf Fashion
Blair Fashion - Series 1
Blair Waldolf is dressed quite 'appropriately' and has been more popular among girls than the other main character Serena Van Der Woodsen. However there are a few obstacles in dressing like Blair.
First, Almost ALL her outfits are BRANDED, hence very hard for ordinary people like us to copy the style without going bankrupt. The cheapest brand on her I have ever researched was a Zara top and a red H&M coat...
Secondly, her style is sometimes quite 'sophisticated' with a bit too much detail for office workers, e.g. overly decorated lace tops and headbands. However I did summarize a few themes and tips in Blair's dressing styles so that it can 'evolutionise' our wardrobe with a limited budget.
and last but never the least, although the outfits she wares RARELY repeats, but the style is actually quite similar and can be replicated - as long as we just get 1 piece per look.
Tip 1: Remove unnecessary elements
So the first tip of dressing like Blair without going overboard is to reduce the elements like Bow tie, hair band and massive laces. This was the mistake I made when I first try to dress up like her - I put on too much, to a point that I can't even wear them on the street. Lace tops are okay but the areas it covers needs to be relatively small.

Trust me I don't think we can handle them without looking like a granny...
However certain elements have to be kept - e.g. bracelets/wristbands, necklace.
A lot of her hand bands are from Jennifer Behr (If you are rich enough you can buy ONE).

Over $1000 dollars!!!!!

Phew $300 dollars...This is good enough for a formal event.,..and if you have a cheaper but quality brand replacement please let me know too!
Topic 1: Rainbow color hosiery
Blair often wares same color or contrast color stockings compared to the bottom (either shorts or dresses or skirts). The COLOR and TEXTURE/PATTERN of the stockings are richer than rainbow, from red to orange, from white to grey, from purple to black laces. It gives the existing outfit a different feeling and a sense of elegance. It can be quite warm as well for winter. Stockings are not that hard/expensive to stock up, ranging from $15 - $30 bucks a pair. So here's 6 x $15 = $90 dollars roughly. If you buy them overseas, it will be even cheaper.
Topic 2: Rainbow range dress
Blair probably wears dresses most often out of all her styles. Her dresses, to simplify, fall under only two styles: single color and floral theme, and sometimes, a combination of both...so single color floral...This is a bit tricky because dresses can range from as low as $20 bucks all the way to $2000...
I personally tend to buy dresses ranging from $70 - $300, a $300 dollar dress is already for my company yearly party...Single color dresses doesnt need to go over $100...but floral ones can be tricky...What I sometimes found is that cheap floral dresses have very bad dying techniques so the patterns do not preserve well and often look worn out very quickly.
So I reckon that's 6 x $70 + $2 x $300....OMG $1020...
2.1 Single color dress (interesting! I haven't seen a purple dress yet!)
2.2 Floral theme
2.3 A combination of single color and floral...
Topic 3: Color theme coordination
As shared in Topic 1, Blair Waldorf style is usually just single color dress which brings up the feminine side, and then coupled with trench coat for elegance. However Blair also wears 2 pieces sometimes. If you look closely into Blair's style, the there are essentially 3 color themes in the mix and match.
Color theme 1: Black and White with a touch of Red
This touch of red is usually the bag, and it's mostly BRIGHT red.

But sometimes can be top or bottom too.
So did you see what needs to be purchased here? I believe every girl has excessive number of black and white stuff in their wardrobe, the only thing left, is a BRIGHT RED HANDBAG.
Color Theme 2: Red and Blue
This is very similar to the style above, but with only two colors and it actually looks brighter.

Color Theme 3: A Touch of Grey
Not fifty shades...the dressing tone in some of the photos below doesn't look grey, but if you go into the color palette, I am pretty sure that there will be elements of grey in it.
